5. disgrace: discredit.

6. To set a form upon desired change: i.e., to provide a plausible rationale for your desire to make a change in our relationship.

8. acquaintance strangle: put an end to our familiarity.   strange: like a stranger.

9. walks: haunts.

12. haply: by chance.

13. vow debate: entertain hostility; promise to quarrel.
